determinatives after names of depicted persons

In the Middle Kingdom, the names of persons visually represented on a stela were not followed by a human determinative. Only a limited number of examples stems from the 12th and the 13th Dynasty. On the contrary, in the Second Intermediate Period this usage became increasingly common. The criterion can only be used in conjunction with other evidence.
