In 18th Dynasty relief and painting round wigs with horizontal rows of curls disappear in depictions of Egyptians after the reign of Amenhotep II, and emerge again in the reign of Amenhotep III (@33572977). If an Amenhotep III date is not unlikely from other evidence, this feature favours a date not later than Amenhotep III.
