determinatives after names of depicted persons

In the Middle Kingdom, the names of persons visually represented on a stela were not followed by a human determinative. Only few examples come from the 12th and the 13th Dynasty. On the contrary, this usage became increasingly common in the Second Intermediate Period. The criterion can only be used in conjunction with other evidence.
